My name isn't Buss. It's Erika. Buss is my nickname, although only my husband Shane calls me that. I am so used to him calling me Buss, that it is strange when I hear him call me Erika. I wonder if the nickname will follow me to the grave..."Beloved Buss, RIP"
The name is derived from a combination of Buzz (Buss) Lighyear and the fact that I was a busser at The Old Spaghetti Factory a few years back. I think Buzz Lightyear is cool. I didn't think being a busser was cool. I am a nurse now and being a nurse is much cooler than being a busser. So, Buss it is.
