Have you seen the new GE 4d Ultrasound commercials? It's pretty amazing, especially compared to the 2d ones that you usually see. Here you can move the transducer around and see the baby moving. It's pretty cool. I'm not sure how much they are being used yet. Maybe by the time we have kids, they will be more common. I think it's pretty cool.

Yeah, pretty cool….
I only had one ultra sound when I was expecting. It was of Andrew, They thought that maybe he was twins! They told us that he was a boy at that time, but they couldn’t give us a picture .I was bummed!

About the ultrasounds: I thought they were more rare than they are. On the GE web site, they list two OBGYN groups in downtown Nashville that have that machine. Dr. Bressman’s group, my doctor, (www.doctorsforwomen.com) isn’t one of them- but I bet they are pretty expensive and, beyond the novelty, I don’t know as we’d find it to be worth it. Our insurance right now has an 80-20 split on things like that. When we had Grant, it was just a 10 dollar co-pay for the entire prenatal/labor/delivery! Ahh…that was nice. They are incredible, though.

I had all my ultrasounds with my daughter ALONE. When I was pregnant with my son I had my mom with me. Then the hub (now ex) showed up to see our boy. Talk about flooring my two supporters! My mom was the most amazed. When my little sister was born they still weren’t really doing ultrasound. Scary! She’s 32. I can’t imagine being pregnant and NOT having an ultrasound.
