I had two interesting encounters with girls from High School while down in Vista. I think I have talked about these girls in the past. Girls I had met in the fourth grade. Girls that had pretended not to know me from then all the way through until graduation. Girls I would sit next to in Mr. Jones' English class that would act like they didn't know me. Who would return my welcoming smile with a glare. I don't know why they thought being friendly and civil to me was such a terrible idea. Anyway, I saw these two girls on two different occasions while we were down there. The first time, we were at Blockbuster with Ryan and Mandy. Shane and I were standing there, holding Macy. I made eye contact with one of them. I didn't say anything. The next thing I know, the other one is peeking around the corner of the isle, checking us out. We just kept doing our thing. We saw them again at Hometown Buffet. I am embarrassed to say we even went there, but that's where Mandy's parents wanted to eat. There was Katie, filling up her plate. It was crazy to run into them again. Yet again, I had Macy next to me. So, who knows what they think. Who cares. I wonder if they are still as stuck up as they were back then. It sucked te way the ignored me back in school, but I made it and have cool friends. I don't think I would have wanted to be friends with them anyway. It was weird, though, to see them eight years after we had graduated.
Shane is cutting up the Christmas tree. It was five years old.

The North County Times? Was it right next to the headline that read “Local Man Trips, Falls”?

Hey, it’s better than the Tribune up here. The North County Times is awesome compared to the Tribune.

Hi Erika! I had a girl torment me, as only junior highers can, from 5th to 7th grade. Right before she moved I found out it was because she thought I was from Tennessee. So I guess Matt’s not the only one who hates that state…

Have you seen the new reality show on WBN? It’s called High School Reunion where they bring in about 12 people who graduated from the same school in Chicago in 1992 to Maui to stay 3 weeks in a beautiful beachfront home. They didn’t tell them who would be there. So there’s the popular girl, the player, the misfit, the pipsqueek, the gossip, the nerd, the clown, the chubby cheerleader, the flirt, etc. and though they all swear they aren’t “like that” anymore, they have all regressed back into their former roles by virtue of being back with those people. It’s really interesting to watch.

I have a really hard time watching the reality tv shows…I just can’t get into them…except maybe Joe Millionaire, but probably just because it’s so twisted.
