I have decided to start writing again. It's almost been a year. It's been a crazy year. I guess I have a lot to write about.
If you had told me I would be here right now, living in a house that we own, working during the day, pregnant, I would never have believed you. Never in a million years. I still don't believe you. I wouldn't have believed we had actually survived two months in Europe. I wouldn't even have believed we have a kitten.
Alas, it's all true.
Europe was wonderful. It felt like we were there forever. It was a great vacation and we had a great time. Can't even begin to tell you all that we did and saw. I am so glad we were able to have that experience and hope we can do it again some day...maybe even be able to stay in a few hotels next time.
We stayed with my parents when we got home. Started working in the beginning of September. Yes, I got a job on the day shift, lucky me. Oh, I am so happy. I didn't realize what it was to sleep like a normal person. My two years in San Luis were spent as a zombie and I didn't even know it.
We didn't believe anyone would actually let us buy a house, but we thought we would give it a try. They actually let us. It is within 5 miles of the houses we both grew up in. We moved in in November. It is a cute little house and it is ours.
Then there is Maeby, our adorable kitten. And is she ever adorable. If you saw her, you would want to eat her she is so sweet.
The best thing so far this year: Baby is due to arrive December 4th. We are overjoyed.
It's been quite a year.

Hi Erika and Shane, to read that you two are having a baby is fantastic. Congratulations from Jason and me.I kept on checking your blog-but no nwes since you are back from europe.I thought already your vacation over here was so bad that you really need so much time to recover. :o) I also went on Shane blog at least every two weeks to see if you two are ok and now these wonderful news. I know you two are going to be great parents. Well,I guess with the little kitten you started already to try how it is to have your own little family. It is good if you had the cat already while you got pragnent-I am not sure if it is still that way that they say, that you have to be careful if you are pragnent and then get a cat.Cats have something that could make the baby sick-but if you got the cat before-you develop ( I am not sure if its the right translation) antibodys against it.But you are a nurse-what am I telling you. Take good care of yourself and enjoy your pragnancy-hopefully wihtout morning sickness! Jason and I doing great. He is starting kindergarden in the end of august. So,I am looking forward to go back to work in september. I hope to hear from you Hugs and kisses from Germany Jason and Chris

I guess my hopeful checking finally paid off. When I saw that Shane had returned to blogging, I figured that you might eventually follow suit.
As I already have issued my congratualtions, I’ll simply say that I look forward to updates of Baby. Although we are many miles away from each other, it is really fun being pregnant along side you and knowing that Baby Fadely and Baby Bonham will be so close in age!
