It has been decided. Our child will love the Shins. It will be soothed to sleep and it's cries will be calmed by the sweet sound of one of the coolest bands ever. The concert was great last night.
On another note, our kitten is a wild beast. She has her mellow moments and can be very sweet, but she is spending much of her day flying around the house and reaking havoc. I think she is hormonal. She is around the spaying age and I think it is all coming out. She is a spazzy cat. She is funny to watch, but I feel kind of bad laughing at or getting frustrated with this hormonal little teenage kitty. She can't help being wild and crazy. I made an appointment for her today to get spayed and it almost made me cry as I was doing it. But, it is for the greater good. We do not want any kittens, we want a well balanced kitty, and I think we will all be a little bit happier once it is all said and done. Sweet little crazy kitten.

We got my kitty spayed after she had three litters. It was always fun having a house full of kittens, but they got to be a pain in the butt as they got older. Then I had to be one of those kids sitting out in front of Alpha Beta begging people to adopt our kittens.

Yes…Alpha Beta- which is right up there with Food Basket in terms of grocery store nostalgia.

And then after Food Basket and Alpha Beta came Big Bear and Lucky.

I don’t remember Big Bear, but I do remember the days when Boney’s was Boney’s.
And I also remember a place called Gemco where the Oceanside/Carlsbad Target is now. I think it was a grocery store with extras…like a Super Wal-Mart on a lesser scale. But maybe that is just how it appeared to me as a child. I couldn’t have been more than 6 or 7.

I think Big Bear was right before the time of Food Basket.

Happy belated anniversary! Hope you were able to enjoy a wonderful day together.
Can you believe that next year for your anniversary, one of the grandmas will be watching your 6 month old son or daughter so you can go out?

Erika:
Thanks Tisra. Your anniversary is right about now, too, isn’t it? I can’t remember the date. How many years now? Isn’t it crazy how time flies.

Lucky for me, our dog “Fred” was already fixed when we got him. I can’t handle the thought of taking another animals manhood away. We do have some fun at Fred’s expense. My old neighbor nicknamed him “smoothy”.
