Today I had jury duty. When I received the summons in the mail, I immediately started thinking of various excuses I could make to get out of it. Then I found out my work would pay me to go and I decided maybe it wouldn't be so bad. It wasn't so bad. I did a lot of reading. I didn't get picked for any of the cases so it was pretty uneventful. I don't think I would have minded had I been picked, but I was glad the day went by pretty quickly and all I really had to do was sit there and read my book.
When I got home, I took my first nap since I have been pregnant. I haven't taken a nap in a long time. I was feeling so tired sitting in the living room so I just decided to get in bed and sleep for a while. I think I felt sleepier after the nap. I think I could have just kept sleeping until morning. I have the next four days off of work, which is the best thing ever. I am going to San Diego tomorrow with my parents to have lunch with my grandpa and maybe to the Zoo. Saturday, we will work on our yard, which is coming along nicely, and Sunday will be very very busy with a meeting and the Shins concert that evening. Monday I will rest.
Tomorrow, I will be 14 weeks. Six months away from our due date.

Work in your yard? See, you are one of those gardener types that I envy. You need to come here and inspire me.

I would like to be the gardener type…I am not the best at it. We (welll, mostly Shane) have been working in our yard. We put in a fence and malibu lights and sprinklers and so on. This weekend we are hoping to plant some trees and plants and make a brick planter. It’s getting pretty hot here which makes it hard to be outside for too long, but the yard is looking good and we need to finish it up. We bought our first lawn mower last weekend.

Take photos when there’s a significant change… I’d love to see!
