Our modest baby decided not to be so modest this time around. We found out on Tuesday that we are having a little boy. He is no longer breech and currently has one of his cute little feet in my rib cage. It doesn't feel so hot. It is always so cool to have an ultrasound. I just can't get over it. I think I could watch all day. He was hiccuping while we were at the doctor's appointment, which was cute. We apparently have lots of umbilical cord, which almost obscured the view, but our doctor was able to find the vital parts to determine that we are in fact having a little Shane. Now we have a picture of his little scrotum and penis to show the world. We also got to see his sweet little face and between this ultrasound and the last one, we are able to determine that he does have both eyes. He has chubby little cheeks and is just so adorably precious.

Tomorrow marks 30 weeks for us. I can't believe how fast it is going. Today I went out and got my fix, buying plenty of little boy clothes. I have been waiting all these months and now that I know, I just can't contain myself. I got him some jeans and some courdoroy pants and of course little onsies to go with them. He will have a lot of clothes and will look precious. I also found the crib. I have been looking and looking and today I found it. It's at Babies R Us, but it looks a lot like one I was drooling over in the Pottery Barn catalogue. It is blue and it is so very cute. I am confident I can make it girlie if I ever need to. It was a fun, relaxing day. It's back to work tomorrow and Saturday. Gotta be able to pay for the crib and the clothes.

I had a dentist appointment this morning to get my teeth cleaned. I didn't make it through the appointment. The girl was telling me about a friend of hers who just had a baby and all the sudden, I started sweating and seeing stars and her voice was getting far away. I tried to ignore it, but it wasn't happening. I told her I had to sit up and take a break. After two more episodes of this, a trip to the bathroom where I practically laid on the floor, I told her I was done. I was so embarrassed. Crazy pregnant lady. I got the cleaning done and my top teeth polished. My bottom teeth just won't be as sparkly as the tops. I came home...I actually made it home and laid down for a while with my absolutely precious kitty for a while and I am feeling much better. I don't know if it was the way I was laying back in the chair ot the lights or what, but it was a little freaky. Once I was home, I laid on my side for a while until I got a reassuring kick and then took a little nap. The whole thing was a little strange.

We had a great weekend. We went up to Mount Baldy to this cabin Shane's great-grandpa built many years back with some new friends from church. There ended up being eight of us there and we played games, hiked a bit, talked, and ate all kinds of good stuff. It was really fun and we had a good chance to get to know each other. We had to leave Maeby at home and she has been so very sweet since we have been back. She stays right where you are, on top of you if she can be and talks, purrs, and wants to be pet nonstop. She is the sweetest cat there is and I can't imagine what we would do without her. She is also very spoiled and I can't imagine what it will be like once this baby comes.

As far as the baby news goes, we have an appointment next Tuesday where we will have another ultrasound. We aren't holding our breath, but we are hoping baby might cooperate this time. I have a lot of work ahead of me to prepare the nursery and so on. I put in for a part time position at work, although I probably won't even get a chance to start working part time until the middle of October. I just need to get organized and start working on my projects little by little. December will be here before we know it.
