I registered for all things baby yesterday afternoon with my friend Mandy and my mom. What a job! I can't imaginge getting all of the things I selected- or needing them all really, but it was a lot of fun. It took a few hours as we scoured every isle at Babies R Us to make sure nothing was missed. I am kind of glad it is over. I don't have to think about which stroller I want or how many bottles I need. Mandy was a lot of help, having registered in the past and having a child of her own. I wouldn't have wanted to do it alone.
I am pushing on 32 weeks. I have a doctor's appointment this Thursday. I can't believe how fast it is flying by! My mom sewed the baby's bumper pad this last week and will begin the dust ruffle and baby quilt when she returns from visiting my brother in Tennessee. I am glad she took on the project because I have no idea when I would be able to find time or energy to put it all together myself. The bumper bad is baby toile and is blue and white. It is very sweet and looks perfect in the crib. I love it.
Work has been insane. We started a new computer charting program last Friday and it was a tough day. Saturday was a little better. I have to think it will get easier and easier each day, but I did not have a good experience with it my first day. I am now officially part time 2, which means I work 5 shifts a pay period. I am still scheduled for 6 a pay period for another week or two, but I think one less day every two weeks might be good for me. I am planning on working until the 13th of November, which is about 3 weeks before my due date. We'll see how I hold up. It is very tiring, but what else would I be doing? I know there is a lot I could be doing, but it makes the weeks fly by and I am tolerating it well enough. And the money is good. I think I will be a superstar if I can hang in there until then. It will be here before I know it anyway.
Lamaze classes start this Thursday night. It's all really happening. We are going to have a little baby here before we know it!

The fabric for the crib sounds so lovely- and how nice to have someone who will sew it for you. You’ll always be able to tell Shane Jr. that his grandma made it for him.
