I had swollen ankles for the first time last night. It really bummed me out. The only things I can think caused it was the soup that we had for dinner at my fourth (and final) baby shower and that I was up really late after being on my feet throughout the day. I never had swollen feet after 12 hours of work, though. It was strange and uncomfortable and not very attractive.

So, yes, I have had four baby showers. So many baby showers. So many tiny little outfits. It was a little overwhelming. This little kid has more clothes than I do! Especially right now as my maternity shirts are looking too small and my pants won't stay up anymore. My wardrobe is quite limited. But, for the most part, everything is going along swimmingly and I am fairly comfortable and able to keep doing my thing. I am feeling very blessed that my pregnancy has been pretty uneventful and that I have really enjoyed it.

This last week was my first week on maternity leave. I was so very busy, but it was so nice not to have to get up at the crack of dawn to go to work and to be there all day. Talk about pants not staying up. Drawstring scrub pants and pregnant bellies were not made to go together.

Two weeks to go, we hope, until our sweet boy arrives. I can't even begin to believe it. There is this little one inside of me and he is almost completely formed and ready to come into this world. One minute he will be inside of me and the next he will be out here in my arms. He looks how he will look when he comes out and is about the size he will be when he arrives. It is amazing.
