Ethan is 10 weeks old today. I can't believe it has been that long. We went to a breastfeeding support group at the hospital he was born at this morning. Only two other people showed up...one of them a girl from our lamaze class who actually invited me to the class. The only reason I am mentioning all of this really, is because in the course of talking with her about how our labors were and so on, it turns out Ethan was born on her birthday and her son, baby Raul, was born on my birthday. I thought it was very cool. It was nice to see her and to talk to other mommies.

We went to the pediatrician for Ethan's 2 month checkup on Monday. He weighed in at 14 pounds 9 ounces. Big boy! I love his chubby little body. He is perfect.

He had to get four vaccinations... two shots in each leg. He cried breifly, but it was about four hours later that he really began to feel it. He would cry and cry when he moved his little legs. I felt so bad for the little guy. The doctor said he shouldn't have any different of a day than normal and most babies are fine, but I know my arms get sore after shots and I am sure four at a time would hurt. He was fine after a lot of sleep and cuddling. He gets four more in two months. At least now I know how he will react and can have the baby tylenol on hand.

Well, the swing is no longer holding Ethan's attention and he is fussing, so I better go be a mommy.

Andrew:

Shots are no fun. I like swings, but I can understand how they’d get old.
