I realized how much of a mother I have become last Monday night between three and four in the morning. Ethan had just started fussing and I was laying there, wondering if he would fuss himself back to sleep when things started rumbling. I was up out of bed as fast as possible. My motherly instinct kicked in and all I could think about was that I had to get my baby! The rumbling was an earthquake and it was pretty much over before I really even got to Ethan, but I was kind of surprised with my reaction. I usually sleep through them or will just lay there until it is over, thinking I should probably get up and get in a doorway or something but am too lazy to really do it. Shane happened to be up when it all happened and we came to the conclusion at 4 in the morning that our baby can detect earthquakes. Why else would he have been up? Right before it happened. He could sense it.

I get nasty spam comments quite a bit. Sorry about that. Shane tries to stay on top of them and delete them for me. They are yucky.
