My baby is a kleptomaniac. Or he tries to be one, anyway. I cannot count how many times we have almost left a store that has shopping carts only to discover something has found it's way under his baby carrier in that front seat part of the shopping cart and we almost made our way home without paying for it. Yesterday, we almost made it out of Stater Brothers with six yogurts and two greeting cards (I know, I know...greeting cards from Stater Brothers...kind of weird). Last week it was baby formula and lip gloss. We actually made it out of Albertons one day last month with a free yogurt. I still feel kind of guilty, but I was putting him in the car and found it and I figured it was like, 50 cents and wasn't worth loading him up, going back in and confessing and giving it back and all, so I just took it with me. Ethan must like yogurt because it is a frequent culprit of his efforts to rip off the grocery store. I need to stop putting stuff in that top area to avoid this problem, I know, but it is so easy to just put little items there. Today at Costco, we almost stole a huge box of kudos. And the weird thing is, if I really wanted to steal all of this stuff, I could probably get away with it by setting it there. It would work. But I couldn't do it. I am still feeling guilty about a yogurt from a month ago.

We’re going to have to watch the two of you at the new Albertsons opening on Friday morning! Remember that it isn’t Ethan that is reaching out and putting these items in the basket! I knew that someday there would be problems. You couldn’t stay PERFECT all your life!
