The physician's at work will occasionally order pet therapy for one or two of their patients. This means that a volunteer brings in their pet (usually a dog) for the patient to pet and visit with. I guess it is supposed to brighten their day a little bit. There was a little daschund visiting yesterday. She was the cutest thing and the best thing about it was that on her leash was an official hospital name tag with her picture on it. It said Sophie (insert owner's last name here) under her name. That would cheer anybody up, I think. She was pretty darn cute.

I wonder how much “pet therapy” gets billed to insurance as.

Well, I don’t think Sophie is getting paid, so I hope it is free. Who knows, though.
