After roasting this summer in our little oven of a house, I was surprised to wake up this morning and feel cold. It was 62 degrees inside. It hasn't been below the mid 70s in the morning for quite a while. There were days this summer we were ready to pack up and move to Alaska to get away from the heat. It would actually be cooler outside our house than inside, despite having all the windows and doors open and as many fans blowing as possible. I don't know what the deal is with this place, but it is hotter than hot in the summer and colder than cold in the winter. Of course, you have to understand that when I say "hot' and "cold," I say it from a Southern Californian's perspective. It doesn't usually get much colder than the low 60s, maybe high 50s in our house, but it does get up to the high 90s inside in the summer. It is ridiculous. So, I am hoping that the heat is on it's way out and that autumn is on it's way so we can be comfortable for a little while before we begin to freeze in the winter. I do appreciate the weather we have here and am very thankful to live in a fairly mild climate for the majority of the time, don't get me wrong. I love the weather here. I just don't like the weather in my house. That's all.
