We had Ethan’s first birthday party yesterday and it went really well. I tried not to stress out about it too much, but we did put a lot of time and work into getting ready. Shane and my dad worked quite a few hours trying to fix up the back yard and patio for the big day and even though we didn’t get all the projects we had planned on completing for the party done, it was perfect. It began raining Friday night and we were a tad worried that Saturday might be rainy, if not just overcast with a wet patio and backyard, but it was sunny and dry by the time of the get together. I wasn’t too excited about the idea of trying to fit 30 people in my little house. Lucky for us, it was a warm sunny southern California day. T shirt weather. Ethan had a blast and everyone seemed to have a great time. He ate his Nemo cake very carefully, just dipping his fingertip in the frosting until we had to open it up for him so he could get some actual cake. He is such a people person, he loved every minute of the day.
