The best Christmas gift I think I will receive this year is that I was able to be home for a week and a half straight with my boys. It wasn’t planned that way- I intended to work this week, but my body had other plans and my cold kept me home. I didn’t think any of my patients would appreciate me caring for them in my state nor did I think I would be able to run around for 12 hours. I am so thankful to be off this Christmas Eve and day and that I will be able to spend them with my family. (You may be thinking, “of course you will be off on Christmas day” but people are still sick on Christmas and there are many people that will be working on the 25th. Thankfully, I am not one of them.) I am so thankful for my family and my job and everything we are been given. We are very very blessed.

Even though I am sad that you are sick, I am happy that you get the time off! I only wish that Andrew and I could be there to share this time with you guys!
