We had such a great trip, I don’t even know where to begin.
I guess that I should mention how wonderful our hosts were. I was so thankful for them and the time they took out of their lives to entertain us, feed us, house us, and show us around their stomping grounds. The Klickas and the Fadelys are great.
The Knoxville area was beautiful. A lot of open, spacious land with a picture perfect view each way you looked. We drove around a lot and just relaxed. It was so great to see Andrew and Pamela. I miss them so much. I got teary eyed thinking about them today. I wish they were closer. Andrew and Ethan had a lot of time to play together and I think Ethan had as good of a time as we did. It was wonderful. On our last day there, it was very warm and we were able to go walk around a big park while Shane and Andrew played Andrew’s new found hobby, Frisbee golf. It was so nice to be outside and surrounded by trees and nature. I think that last day may have been one of my favorites there.
Nashville was also very cool. Not too big of a city, but big enough for us to get lost in several times. Tisra and Eric have a lovely home, which they shared with us. We had fun with them and their kids, touring various sites like Centennial Parl, the Parthenon, and a mall or two. One evening, Tisra and I were able to sneak out to the Opryland Hotel (I am not even sure if that is what it is called). It was beautiful! The whole middle section is an atrium and you can smell the plants when you walk in. They have four river walks and it was just breathtaking. We had some coffee and were able to sit and talk.
We had a fairly uneventful flight home. It went so much quicker and Ethan was perfect on both flights. He was a very good kid the whole trip. Thank goodness.
It is nice to be home and to get back into the swing of things. It is always hard to leave people you love, but we hope to be able to visit again soon. We had such fun visiting and joking and playing. It was great. Fond memories were made on Ethan’s first vacation!

I’m waiting for water to boil so I can make my Valentine’s tea and was thinking of you. So glad that the trip home went well! It was great seeing you guys. Today must have been hard- returning to work. But I bet its nice to sleep in your own bed :-).

I thought it was cool for you guys to gain some understanding of our new life. My second TN winter was not so long because of you guys, however it was soooo hard to let you leave. I miss you 3 so much. I cherished every moment spent.
