Shane and I just finished watching the first season of Lost. We had once again been renting the DVDs from Netflix (which is totally awesome). The show is cool and it has drawn us in and I cannot wait to somehow figure out how to watch the next season as soon as possible. (The second season is happening right now, but we have missed a few episodes. Shane says we can buy them online to watch, but should we spend $2 an episode to do so? I’m not sure…)
So, anyway, the reason I am even mentioning all this is that I can’t believe how many times while watching the first season I have been around someone or seen something that referred to a future occurrence on the show that would have totally spoiled it for me had I let the person continue/not averted my eyes. Prior to being sucked in, I had heard a few people mention how good it was, but little more than that. Twice at church, Lost was brought up in two separate occasions while the pastor was talking (just in reference to being somewhere and the show being on and what they thought about the show…not a sermon based on Lost or anything….) There is a guy with a blog that writes little reviews the day after the episode that I just stumbled upon and almost read. Magazine articles with lines on the cover like, “Why Shannon?” What? What about Shannon? Does something happen to Shannon?
Anyway, I like the show a lot. It’s a very entertaining show and I hope it continues to be as intriguing and interesting as it has been and doesn’t turn dumb. Like the OC. But I guess the OC has always been kind of dumb. I also hope that I can continue to avoid all that is Lost until we are able to catch up.

Nana:
So for Christmas Ben bought Papa the first season of LOST since Papa couln’t stay us past 9:30 to finish watching an episode and so he was completely lost. He’s been watching them and loves it (well, okay, likes it) a lot. So now he realizes he’s going to have to buy the 2nd season too.
