It is official. I think I am done with Victoria’s Secret.

I have never spent much money there. I think their undergarments and sleep wear are way over priced. I have actually given them a try in the undergarment department and was willing to spend that much money on a bra if it felt heavenly. It didn’t feel heavenly so I have gone elsewhere and found others for half the price that feel at least as close to heaven as Victoria’s do.

So the other day I get a coupon in the mail from them. It was for a free pair of cotton panties. No purchase necessary. I debated on whether it was worth it to go to the mall and redeem them. I decided to go today. I walked in with my coupon.

“Excuse me, I have this coupon for free cotton panties. Where would I find them at?”

“You give the coupon at the register when you are done shopping and they will give it to you.”

Well, I am not buying anything. Even if I wanted to, I can’t. I go up to the register. I explain to the girl I have the coupon as I hand it to her.

“You aren’t going to buy anything?”

No, I am not. And she turns into rude Victoria’s Secret girl. She goes from smiley-happy salesgirl to you-are-wasting-my-time-and-are-not-fit-to-be-in-our-shop salesgirl. She goes over and starts rummaging through these bins. I request a small. There are only grandma panties is small, she more or less says, implying that I would never want them. I then ask for a medium (they will be comfy…). Same with the mediums. Only larges, do I want a large? Why does she have that look on her face and why is she being such a brat? It was a free pair of panties. Give me a break! She offers me the coupon back and I leave feeling totally retarded and unaccepted by Victoria and her little associates.

Ethan enjoyed playing with the coupon for a good 10 minutes. He kept saying “lady” because of the lady on it. The lady dressed in only a pair of cotton panties.

So Victoria, I am officially done.

I’m sorry you had such a horrible time with them. I really dislike snooty salespeople. I never understood it; what do they have to be snooty about?

Truth be told, I’ve always bought their bras. I’ve had such bad luck in the past with department stores and getting help from an associate and then when I would like a bra it wasn’t guaranteed that line/manufacturer would be available again and the hunt would continue (I hate the hunt…I don’t like shopping). With VS, the lines are the same for a very long time. All that said, nearly $50 for a bra is a bit high and if you’ve got suggestions for another place, I’d be up for trying it.

I really don’t have another place, it is really hit or miss. I have always liked Calvin Klein, but they make their bras for people like me who have very little to support. Currently, 1/2 my bras are Victoria’s Secret and the other half are random, but I like the random ones better.

Now that I’m done nursing I have a lot less to support than I used to. :-(

I went to Victoria’s Secret the other day to get some barely bronze self tanning lotion. The sales girl was a total snob! She looked me up and down like I was a peasant girl! It’s like they think that they are better than everyone! I do like their bras, but lately I haven’t found much that was worth the price.
