I swear that this evening while making Ethan a cup of milk, he sang:

“Shake a booty, Shake a booty, Oooh.”

Is that a song? He sang it twice and I laughed uncontrollably, which made him sing it more. I don’t know if that is what he was saying, but it sure sounded like it and it still makes me laugh as I am writing about it now. And I keep singing it to in my head over and over.

When my babies were little, I would grab their hands as they stood on my lap and gently twist them back and forth while singing “Shake your baby” to the song “Shake your booty”. Now I have to correct Trey, at 4 1/2 years old, because he will sing, “Shake your boobie”.

Maybe Ethan is a fan of disco?

When I used to shake his formula I would always sing, “Shake, shake, shake! Shake, shake, shake! Shake your booty, Shake your booty.” And we would shake together. He always thought that was funny. You dont’t suppose he remembers the song, do you?

There is that commerical where that song is playing while some guy is shaking a cow to make whipped cream or something. Maybe he saw that commerical somewhere?

Shane doesn’t think that is what he is saying. That’s what it sounds like and it’s funny regardless.
