Hallelujiah, the cast is off!
I don’t know how Ethan feels about it. His leg is pretty stiff and weak. He is walking today, but with his leg out all funny like he still has his cast on. It will take some time to get back to running, I think.
Yesterday, he took a very long bath where he poured water from a cup into the tub over and over and over. Silently. I think he enjoyed every minute of it.
No more broken bones. Ever.

“One week, take it off.”
-That is what Ethan says while pointing to his cast. He really only has it on for five more days till it comes off. I am worried they are going to X ray his leg and tell us it has to be on longer. I am praying everything has healed perfectly and Thursday is the last we see of this thing. We can come home, he can jump into his little pool, ride in his car, run around and swing. He is such a trooper. It is so hot and it has to be so uncomfortable. I am really looking forward to putting this month behind us and moving forward.
We want water and lots and lots of running.

I am dissapointed. I think my shopping for shoes on ebay must come to an end.
A month or two ago, I was looking for sandals for Ethan. I discovered they made these in his size and was so excited. They were adorable and like his daddy’s (They are the all black ones minus the heel strap). I didn’t really want to pay full price, so I just ordered them off ebay and I got a pretty good deal, I thought. It was around $10 with shipping. I was very very excited and couldn’t wait for the day they arrived. They came. Ethan’s foot is insanely wide and we could not get his foot through the flip flop part of the sandal. I later went and tried the next size up at the store, they fit wideness-wise, but were too long. I was so bummed.
I have had my eye on the Keds skimmers recently and happened upon these on ebay last week. They don’t make them any more and I thought they were totally awesome. I went to Famous Footwear to make sure that I do in fact wear a size 7 in Keds. I bid on the shoes and won. I think it turned out to be $21 with shipping. I anxiously awaited their arrival. They came yesterday. It was another Cinderella moment. I was so disappointed. They are too tight and my foot looks like it is popping out of them. Again, I was so bummed.
So, I must figure out how to sell on ebay so I can get rid of these items and go to an actual store where you can try on the shoes (and the shoes are new) before you buy them. Or just be happy with the shoes I have. But, I am determined to sell these two items and maybe some other stuff…who knows.
Lessons learned:
1) You will spend more money on shoes on ebay because they won’t work out and you will end up paying regular price for ones that due PLUS the ones you bought on ebay.
2)We have wide feet.
I have been completely inspired by the many craft blogs I have stumbled upon recently. They are awesome. These women are so creative and talented and full of wonderful ideas. They are motivated and everything they make I am envious of. I have been busy and I am proud of my little creations. I am inspired and in awe of these crafty ladies.
I have made several headbands.
I have made two little totebags.
Ethan and I have made two stained glass windows.
There are several other things I plan to try out, but my time is limited. These blogs are great. Anyone interested should check them out. There are others listed in my side bar as well. They are full of great ideas and I am enjoying them more than I can say. If you know of any other cool crafty blogs, let me know!
I will try to post some pictures of some of my creations soon.

It seems like every year before this one, I worked on the fourth of July. And I always felt like everyone I knew had fun getting together and swimming and eating and having great parties while I worked. So this year I am off and was looking forward to being at one of the fun parties. But it wasn’t that fun and I am a little bit disappointed. Maybe they never were that fun in the past, they just sounded fun to me because even a boring party is more fun than work. Too bad. Maybe the fireworks will make up for it. With my luck, Ethan will hate them and start screaming and we will have to leave.
