Today was a good day for a few reasons.

For one, I don’t think I mentioned this before, but I am in charge of the toddler “class” at church. We desperately needed something for the billion little one to two year olds at church and I decided to be the one to get the thing started. It has been a little bit stressful and there have been a lot of hiccups along the way over the last two months of getting it going. But today, for the first time, it seemed to go really well. Ethan had a fun time (he has cried and asked for me repeatedly the last few weeks), no one threw up (happened last week after a crying fit…not Ethan), and I actually got to sit through the sermon and worship (I am often manning the class, as people don’t show up or are sick or whatever). It was a relief and an answer to many prayers this last week.

For another, I was given by a dear friend, who is also pregnant (Krista) a box of clothes about a size or two bigger than what I normally wear. It was like Christmas! A box of clothes that fit me much more comfortably than my own. I have a new wardrobe! And not only that, there are tons of pants…jeans, black pants, khaki pants, capris…more than I currently own! There is so much to choose from! I am very excited. A new, free wardrobe for a month or two (hopefully).

It is awesome that you pioneered that toddler program! You are so amazing! I hear you about the clothes! It is so much fun to get to look through all of them and mix and match with things that you already own.

It’s so amazing to get free clothes when pregnant! I got three huge bags full when I was pregnant with my son. What a blessing.

Tell her I said congrats =) and that I think about her often.

Yay for the free clothes!

Our church just started in the last year making the toddlers room more of a “class” rather than nursery. They color pictures with the bible verse, are taught a very abbreviated lesson, and spend a lot of time playing and singing songs (or being sung to). I feel like every bit of God’s word, however small, has the potential to take root and become a solid basis for future spiritual growth- start small, expect great things! Well done, Erika. I know your hard work will pay off and be a joy to witness as these kids grow into the sons and daughters of God that they should be! How exciting!

I just got some more free clothes tonight! I am currently wearing some of them and loving it.

How old are your toddlers, Tisra? It is hard for us because we don’t have a classroom and I have really had to be creative. I hope it will eventually get to the point where it can be more of a class, but at this point, I will be happy if we make it through the service and can keep them entertained and contained.
