So, it happened to me today. I ran into someone at Costco. A lady who used to go to our church when I was growing up and I used to babysit her kids. I never really liked them that much, especially after her 7 year old daughter had me close my eyes and then proceeded to put a Barbie butt up to my mouth and then laughed hysterically that I had kissed Barbie’s butt. It is funny now, but I was irritated with her at the time. Anyway, she feigned interest in knowing what we were up to, said she could see what we were up to as she pointed to Ethan (I thought), and then asked how far along I was. I kind of misunderstood and said Tegan was 6 weeks. I then got what she was saying when she couldn’t believe I was six months along. Nice. You just don’t do that. Not even when someone is obviously pregnant. It made me like her even more. I know I have some weight to lose, but man! I do not look pregnant for a second. I like her even less now.

AAAAAARG!!!!! I am so mad she said that! Did she get it and apologize? What scum, what slime. I wish you kicked her in the shins and ran away. I think you are beautiful. Some people have no tact.

She admitted she got it and didn’t even apologize. It was so lame.

You just don’t do that! As someone who has had kids, she should know as much!

I bet you look beautiful with that new mommy glow. And if she had seen you at six months pregnant, I’m certain she would have been amazed at how tiny you were. She may not have been nice then, either. Some people are just crazy.

You guys are sweet. I knew it was ridiculous and tried not to let it get to me, so it isn’t that big of a deal. I get twice as many “you look great” comments, which are nice, but also kind of hard to believe. I don’t feel great, but I am trying:)
