I have officially started Christmas shopping. I bought a present for my uncle earlier this week. It is really early to start thinking about Christmas shopping, I know, but I thought if I spread it out, starting early, our checkbook would much appreciate it. So, my Christmas shopping has begun!
I am looking forward to this Christmas. Andrew and Pamela are coming home for the holidays, Ethan is a little older. The only bummer-I am pretty sure I will have to work this Christmas. I can’t complain. Somehow I have avoided it the last 4 years. I am lucky. And probably better to work this year than next. My family mostly celebrates Christmas Eve anyway. It will probably be a tough day to be at work, though (other than it’s time and a half, as is Monday-woohoo!).

Wow. Good job on the planning. We don’t do a ton of Christmas shopping regardless of year- I guess because everyone, except friends, live far away so we only buy Christmas presents for parents and sibling. I’ve NEVER bought anything for my uncle at Christmas. Of course, I think that would be different if he lived in the same town.

I remember one year(probably three years ago)I started my christmas shopping in July and I was done so early. I would just pick up things as they were on sale and it was so nice in December to relax and enjoy the holiday without worrying about last minute shopping. Not this year, though, I have been planning the twins first birthday party now for a couple of months and it isn’t until October so at least I’m on the ball with that!

The year Ethan was born (December 1st), I had all of my shopping done by the middle of November-and wrapped. It is was nice. I am impressed you have the birthday party going! What are you planning? Wish we could be there!

Me too! Ethan would love it. We are having it at the Phoenix Zoo. Nothing compared to the San Diego Wild Animal Park but still pretty good.I’m excited.
