Yay, it worked! After three days in the freezer, our ice cream maker made some ice cream! I followed Tisra’s recommendation and made vanilla ice cream with add ins. Mine was peanut butter M&Ms (I am still obsessed with peanut butter) and Shane’s was gummi bears. It was very tasty. It has cooled down quite a bit, thankfully, but ice cream is good anytime!

I’m glad the extra time in the freezer helped with the bowl. I also hope you liked the recipe. There are much better vanilla ones out there, but Eric and I both agree that this one is nice because there are no eggs, no cooked cream….you just mix and start churning! Somewhat instant gratification, and less room for error. :-)

I loved it. It was so easy and that is what I want.

Eric and I have noticed that the ice cream out of the maker at home is not as airy and fluffy as store bought. We have an idea, but haven’t tried it yet: whipping any cream in the recipe and folding it into the mix. Maybe then it will be a bit lighter in texture? Let me know if you try it.

Elizabeth, I can’t look at your blog anymore because it is private. I would like to be able to if it’s ok with you:)
