Being sick is no fun. Being sick on your birthday when you have all kinds of plans is even less fun. I woke up with a respiratory thing and just felt wiped out. My mom blessed me with the gift of childcare while I went home and back to bed. I feel quite a bit better now (less of a headache and no longer nauseated), but breathing is not normal and neither is my voice. I am not backing out of my plans to go to the Wild Animal Park because I am sure the ice cold air will be just what my sick little lungs need. I just want to go. And it is my birthday, so I can do whatever I want, right? I just hope no one else gets this, especially the little ones. Just in time for Christmas.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Erika! I am so sorry you’re sick, but bless your mom for giving you the best brithday present a sick daughter could want. I’m sick today too. Winter and colds go together, sadly. We’ll kick it in the butt though and have a marvelous Christmas day cold-free! How’s that for speaking in faith?! :-)

Well it is technically not your b-day anymore, 1:13 a.m.! I should really be in bed. I hope that your night went well though and I will be praying that you feel better and that your little ones stay healthy. Happy Birthday!
