I can’t believe Christmas is just a little under 2 weeks away. I have been very busy. I have been crafty lately and can’t find enough time to get the things I want to make done. The red felt bird is from this site. I saw it and I wanted it, so I got out all my floss and felt and went at it. I pretty much just copied what I saw, but I wanted what I saw and I am very happy with my finished product. The paper birds are from this site. I am very pleased with them as well. As you can tell, I am really into birdies this year so I was very excited when I stumbled across the patterns. We are going to an ornament exchange party Saturday night. I am thinking I might bring a paper bird, but I am a little nervous. People I don’t know…will it end up being the bummer ornament nobody wants?? I suppose Georgia and I could just plan it so we could get each other’s ornaments somehow. I am not sure if I should run out and buy one or just go for it. What do you think? It says on the invitation “any ornament. Some of you might remember the snowman poop from last year….” This has to be better than snowman poop.

Anyway, not sure what else I will get to. I cross stitched a wedding sampler for my cousin who is getting married on the 23rd and I need to get it framed. I will put up a picture when it is all finished. I also made a few other things, but I can’t put up pics because it would ruin surprises. Nothing too exciting, but I don’t want to spoil anything.

I just have two or three more things to get and I am set. I have lots of wrapping to do. Tegan seems to be steering clear of the tree. Not sure what she would do if there were presents under it, though. I have Christmas cards ordered and will pick them up after work tomorrow. It is very difficult to get a good picture including two kids and a cat. I wanted it just of the kids, but that didn’t happen. One wants to crawl away and the other is into silly faces. We worked it out and I will be happy when they are in the mail. No Christmas lights on the house yet. I think we might be skipping them this year since we just got the house painted and Shane is not wanting to put any holes or anything into it yet. They’ll be up next year, I am sure.

I am looking forward to the next week. I think it is going to get me more into the holiday mood. Party on Saturday, Christmas Under the Stars (Christmas caroling and hot drinks outside with church) on Sunday, Wild Animal Park Wednesday night, Andrew and Pamela’s arrival on Friday, and then Christmas will be here. I can’t believe it. This year is almost over. Time is going too fast.

All sounds so great! You should take pictures of what you’re crafting and then post after Christmas. I always like seeing your creative stuff; it inspires me. I’m with you on the “snowman poop”. Yikes.

I saw your christmas picture on Shane’s flickr and I thought it was so good. I’ve almost given up on trying to get a family christmas picture. Just too hard with four kids to do by myself, I’m hoping I can get a friend to do it at a christmas party. You all look so happy and healthy!

You are so talented. I love your crafts and next year I am going to do some. I was not on the ball at all this year. Can you teach me the birds for next year? PLEASE?
