We returned home today from two days of camping with Grandpa and Grammie in Borrego Springs. It was quite an adventure and we all had a fun time. There was never a moments rest between hiking to the stream to wade and throw rocks, hunting for Indian pottery, riding bikes, taking walks, scraping knees, digging for buried treasure, and eating ice cream. I am sure I left a thing or two out. It was in the 80s and the flowers were in bloom. The ground was the greenest I have ever seen it after all of the rain and it was lovely there. We had a great time camping for the first time and I will tell more of the details later. We are all very tired and it is time to hit the sack.

This shot has that look about it… like it will be one when he’s 25 or 40 recalling his childhood, that he’ll pull out with fondness. “Look, that was when we went on our first family camping trip. I was three and my sister was a baby.” It just looks, even here in the present, that it is documenting life. :-)

We had great fun with you and the kids. I’d like to see the next generation start going along, start with a tent, I have a lantern and stove you can borrow.
