Me to Ethan as he is eating: “Try not to make a mess.”
Ethan: “It’s ok to make a mess because then you can just use corlox.”
Me: “What’s corlox?”
Ethan: “From TV.”
Me: “Which show?”
Ethan: “It’s not from a show, it’s from a commercial. The lady sprays the corlox and then cleans up the mess.” complete with spray bottle hand motion.
Me: “Oh, you mean clorox.” as I laugh and shake my head.
Ethan: “Yes.”
Me: Laugh and shake my head.

I can’t imagine how much our kids would be picking up if we didn’t tiVo and skip commercials. the few shows they watch where the commercials are during the show- oh my goodness! I never hear the end of how they need such-and-such toy or how I should use OxyClean! Yikes!

We have Tivo as well, but I am often not on the ball enough to turn it off when the show is over so he does see a few commercials. Maybe because he hardly ever sees them, they really stick with him:)

I believe Corlox is an excellent product, although difficult to find. It works wonderfully on the kitchen sink! Someone should write a book, “Ethan’s World” or “El Mundo de Ethan.”
