Thanks for all your comments about the sink cleaning. I really appreciate it and it made me feel a little bit better.

First off, I clean the sink (with comet) once or twice a week. I don’t think this is over the top and I really would like to clean the sink and the counters every day, but I don’t seem to be able to find the time to do it most days. Now, we don’t have a dishwasher so I am constantly washing dishes and the sink is constantly being washed and sprayed and scrubbed with a scrubber and dish soap. But I don’t feel like that really cleans it.

The debate we were having was that Shane thought I was being a little obsessive by cleaning the sink with comet weekly. I don’t know how often he thinks it should be done, but apparently once a week is too often. I couldn’t believe that he thought I did it too often, so I just wanted to see what you guys thought.

And Andrew…where can I find myself a garden gnome?

Sounds like you are right on track!!!! I know what you mean about wanting to clean more but, where would you find the time? I mean I can not find the time and I have a dishwasher :( I imagine that you feel like you spend half your day cleaning as it is. Comet once a week is PERFECT.

Heh…you said something about feeling like I spend half my day cleaning. It’s 6:45 and I have already washed 2 sippy cups (from last night), one cup, one bowl, a bottle, a pot, a mug, and a spoon-all from this morning. And two more bowls on the way. I just can’t let the dishes sit there. So I do feel like I do dishes all day. I am used to it, though, so I usually don’t think much about it.

When our dishwasher was broke I felt the same way! I do not know how you do it? I thought I might never make it through those few months. When we finally got a new one I had so much extra time. To bad I have yet to do something super productive with it. You are amazing my sweet Erika!!! Love ya tons!!
