Our sweet friends the Fadelys from way back when are currently in the process of adopting a precious little girl from India. They have been waiting and praying for her for over two years. They are almost there and now are working to raise money to bring Dorothy home. If you would like to hear more of their story, you can read Tisra’s blog. If you would like to donate and help them bring their sweet little girl home, check out the site they have put together here. There are some very cool prizes as well. Most of all, just keep their family and Dorothy in prayer, for the wait, for peace, for their travels, for a smooth transition for their family and for Dorothy as she comes to a new country and home.

Tisra:

Georgia,

Our adoption will cost us around $30,000 all said and done. Not the cheapest fees in international adoption, but also not the most expensive. Some domestic adoption is really inexpensive, I gather, but many cases can become easily $40,000+ due to U.S. legal fees. It’s a shame, really, because I think it is one of the biggest reasons some people don’t follow that voice inside them that says to “care for orphans”. That’s why we love Shaohannah’s Hope so much (we’re donating 10% to that charity)- they’re breaking down the financial barrier for so many who want to obey the calling.

Erika, thanks again for posting about us!

Tisra, that is amazing. Really, a true test of love for a child. I am praying for Dorothy, and for God’s will for her to be a part of your family. And I am especially looking forward to seeing posts of her on your blog in the future:)
