I just had another Avonlea memory I thought I would share, since it has to do with my last post.
I think I was going into 9th grade and we had a summer reading assignment before we started school. It was summertime and I think I was in the middle of the Anne series or it may have been another L.M. Montgomery book and I was so desperate to read it. My mom refused to take me to buy the next book until I finished that darn summer reading book. Not even sure what it was, but it was pretty devastating.
I have always loved to run away into books!
