super smoothie, originally uploaded by Ladygirl.

So this has been my new “thing” lately. I had seen several posts about green monster smoothies and I decided I should give it a try. And I really like them. So does Ethan. Shane and Tegan, not so much.

Here is how I do it:

some frozen chopped spinach
a banana
chopped up strawberries
some blueberries if I have them
some dannon light & fit vanilla yogurt (110 calories per cup)

Blend. Suck. Yum.

I took the picture here to also share with you one of Shane’s latest projects. Stacking our CDs by year. I think it is totally awesome.

Also, we sold our Jetta today. It was totally time and needed to happen and I am relieved it is done, but a little sentimental as well. It was a sweet little car.

I just made these this morning! We always have smoothies, especially because of the abundance of berries here, but never thought to throw in the spinach until you mentioned it the other day…everyone thought they were yummy! thanks!

Yum.

One year Eric stacked up all our CDs and put them on the computer so our entire music library could be in iTunes. I think it took a full weekend to do, but now we can listen to music for nearly 20 days without repeating a song! Woo hoo!!! Is the stacking by year just for fun? I wonder if there is a way to organize them in iTunes like that- by published year? Hmmmm.

Shane, you ARE a crack-up! (and I love the honesty. :-) )

With never using CDs- we don’t know what to do with them. They were taking up precious room in our entertainment center and so we finally put them in boxes and in the garage. But you can’t get rid of them- it’s like old bank statements and pay stubs!

I bet the smoothie’s good, and I’d definitely try it, even though looking at it reminds of the ceviche de erizo (raw sea urchin, avocado, cilantro, finely diced tomato, lime juice, etc.) that Chayito made for me one time.

Also, Shane, are you going with whatever year the CD case lists as the copyright, even if it’s, like, a greatest hits album or one that had been released earlier on vinyl or cassette?

I’ve sorted the music on my laptop by year, but I remember thinking that it was not right for, say, the Beatles to be showing up among the 1998 stuff.

Shane, come over and organize my CDs! Or better yet, teach Ethan how to categorize and I will let him at them. That might keep him busy for about an hour!

You are going to live a lot longer than me! I would never drink that…the spinach ruins it for me!

Cheers to you for being healthy :)
