These PVC pipes kept Ethan busy for over an hour today as he tried to rig up a sprinkler for the plants. He was so intent on getting it to fit together (minus glue). It was also very much a boy activity, which made me happy and it did end with mud. And then a bath. (I have a such a hard time with mud!)

What a smart little monkey! Did you just have the pipe laying around from an old project? Or did you buy it for playing with? I bet my kids would enjoy similar problem-solving play.
