We found a bunch of acorns on a walk the other day and the kids were very excited to collect them and use them for a craft. We had two friends over to play and we broke out the acorns. I didn’t really know what to do with them other than make them into little acorn friends. And I had a bunch of match boxes so we made beds for them. Our friends who were visiting seemed to enjoy this little craft more than mine did, but I thought they turned out pretty cute. My favorite part was when I asked them what their names where and Tegan’s little friend said hers was named Ernie.

We have chestnuts here..a ton of them…we are gonna have to make some little creatures out them too. Thanks for the idea!
