On to verse two! I was able to memorize 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a and even my kids learned parts of it. A very encouraging start.
I have loved these verses for a long time and decided they would be good to have committed to memory for all those times I need to cling to these words and the fact that He is all I need, gives me all I need, and will always be there for me. He is the strength of my heart and my portion forever!

I was reading the end of Psalms a few nights ago and rediscovered what is one of my all time favorites: 148. The other day at the Presbyterian service the pastor asked us, “What is the one place you turn to in the Bible when you’re in need of comfort?” He said that Psalms is probably the most common reference. I’d have to agree.
